the internet is a dog that brings me odd socks in its mouth

#7

i ran into a woman who brimming with ardor this morning. On her way to work she spotted me and my dog loitering under the bridge’s arch, up to no good. Her face lit up, as if she were greeting an old friend she hadn't seen in ages. And before i knew it, she hurried over to my dog, crouching down to run her fingers through his fur, hugging him softly. She smiled. And i melted. Her wide beaming smile gathered sweet little wrinkles at the corners of her eyes, tracing out little crow’s feet of joy oh the marks of pure delight. She breathed life into the air around her. Once they’d gotten to know each other, she leaned in and rested her cheek on my dog's cheerful face. While i stood off to the side watching their unexpected little get-together unfold. Somehow, my dog always finds a way to bring new friends into my day.
